Flight restrictions across the majority of the UK remain in place and aircraft have been grounded for the fifth day today. The no-fly zone is extended to at least 01.00 hours tomorrow morning (20th April).
Please be assured that we are doing whatever possible to provide you with up to date information in connection with the situation regarding the operation/cancellation of your flights and will advise you of any relevant information where necessary.
At the moment we can report that the following countries currently have a no-fly zone: Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Slovakia, Switzerland, U.K and a further nine countries have partial closures: Italy, Norway, Bulgaria, Poland, Sweden, France, Romania, Latvia and Denmark. Spanish airspace is currently open and alternative means of transport to move passengers to their destinations within Europe are being assessed.
We have managed to successfully re-route some of our customers and it is reported that Royal Navy ships are being deployed to help rescue passengers stranded abroad as the UK’s airspace remains closed. We would, however, advise that all non essential travel plans are currently postponed until further news is received.
